me again....

3000 miles in two weeks and my rear (new) tyre is square... i was expecting it given the motorway distance but it's now ready to change.... does having full luggage and two up wear the tyre much heavier?

When i get round to it i'll post some pics on the bike in the Alps etc

Stay off the motorways, and find some bends :-D Shouldn't be too hard in France I usually go to Spain (via France), and don't have a problem with square tyres!

You must have some high performance tires to only laast 3000 miles!

I have 6K on my michelin pilot roads and have done some two-up riding with luggage. all riding has been in long, flat, straight, Florida so the side tread is virtually unused. nevertheless there is some squaring but not a whole lot to make the ride uncomfortable and there is plenty of tread left.

What tyre pressure do you have when riding 2 up? And is your rear wheel correctly aligned?
