I did double genmar risers on my 98 Trophy 1200. Huge improvement! You will need a longer front brake line though. I heard the handlebars might hit the windsheild. They do not hit the windsheild on the standard '98 windsheild. Now I don't have to do a handstand while going down the road. I just don't like to lean forward.
I bought a 99 Thunderbird and even put the biggest risers I could find for it to lean back even more. I like the seating position on it better except the pegs are closer to the seat.
Thanks for the response. I have a friend that is going to machine a complete unit for me, using the Gen Mar as a template. I will let you know how it works . MIKE
I have talked to Genmar about stacking the risers and they will even send you a longer screw set to hold it in place. THey were very helpful and willing ......
If you are making you own, I should point out that the cylinder that goes in the center of the risers should be one solid piece on double risers. that will give you more stability than 2 single pieces. The longer front brake line you will need is from the master cyliner to where they split on the forks. The choke cable will get pretty tight only. Mine hasn't given me any problems, but I should get a longer one. Good Luck.
