The "sail" effect of the OEM windscreen can be unnerving. I know there are aftermarket options out there, but not all that many. The best screens I've found so far are from Clearview. Looks like they make a shorter sport screen as well as touring screens with venting.

Any suggestions?

I use the sport screen from clear view, and it has a lot less "sail" effect. The sport screen is 12" instead of the 24" standard. There is more wind from upper chest, but less buffeting. There are pictures of the screen in my album.

I cut my stock shield down. The vertical lip at the top causes alot of the trouble, IMHO. I have about 14 inhes in the center.

Trophynorway,

Thanks for the photos. I'm really liking the idea of a sport screen after checking out your bike.

The Clearview touring screen with the venting performs very well for such a big shield. My wife has a 21", and when I ride her bike, I forget to close the face shield on my helmet. No buffeting at all.

When I bought my bike it had a clearview on it, and I didnt like it, reminded me of riding a goldwing, so I cut about 7" out of a stock windscreen and love it, bike looks alot better too. I used a dremel and one of those sideways bits for cutting holes in dry wall and such
