Done a 200+ mile run yesterday on the Trophy. Weather was pretty mixed with a few heavy showers.
All in all a good ride out, Kim, my wife really rates the comfort of the trophy.

I've been hopping like a one legged man at a butt-kicking contest,
lots to do at work, plus I just bought my wife a new car so we were dealing with that, then when we took delivery there was some paint damage on the hood so the dealership is having the hood repainted, plus my kids are back in school so it's help with the homework time again.
Plus the weather went from beautiful 80's and 90's to 60's and rain/showers so not much time for riding and when I do have time it's raining cats and dogs. On the plus side I talked to a lovely lady at Corbin yesterday and my new seat is in production and should arrive next week. I'm looking forward to that.,
Tomorrow I need to pull my front wheel off and get a new tire before the winter sets in...Thats about it for me,
Cheers :-g :-g

Good riding weather here in Milwaukee, unfortunately workload has been cutting into it. I will get my priorities straight by this weekend with sun and 70's predicted and put a few more miles on versus the local miles of late. Got a few more months of riding before the real winter chill. Autumn riding around here is one of my favorite seasons to ride so I am looking forward to it.
Good riding,
MilwFreddy

It has been beautiful around here the last few days, but supposed to cool off tomorrow a little. Summer finally showed up in Michigan in September. I have been trying to get some riding in but the wife has been in Seattle this week on business, so I am the kids taxi. I wish they would get their schedules coordinated so I could drop them off and pick them up at the same times, it's cutting into my riding time.
Ahhhh fun with cars Steve. I went out tonight to wash and wax my 4 wheeled pride and joy. I clean the rims and tires first, so I am scrubbing on the first rim and something doesn't look right. Look close, and notice the rim is cracked. Okay, I am mildly upset, but it happens. Then I checked out all the rims and two others had cracks in them. Now, I haven't driven off any cliffs, slammed any potholes, and the tires are the originals, never been off the rims. Needless to say, I went beyond mildly upset.

Is It cracks in the clearcoat or cracks in the Alloy itself? If they're factory wheels I'd see if they'll warranty them. You'd have to drive like a maniac to crack three out of four rims, plus if you've still got the original tires on the tread wear will show you're not abusing the vehicale
My wife just got GM to replace the seat belt and airbag componants on our 2000 Venture van with 80k miles on it after the airbag light came on. I guess she asked how it would look on the news if she went through the windshield after GM's safety restraints failed,
Apearantly they didn't want to find out :lollol:

No Steve, they were definitely cracked. I thought it was just a clear coat problem at first, but I took them off and looked through the back. I didn't even bother with trying to call GM or go to the dealer. The car is no longer under warranty, and I could go on about the fun I had with the front brake rotors warping when it still was under warranty. I have installed sub-frame connectors, strut tower braces, and beefed up the sway bars with 1LE bars. The service manager just would not believe I wasn't racing the car, and I honestly do not. I put the sub-frame connectors on to keep the frame from twisting to much in everyday driving causing the T-tops to eventually leak. Besides, like I told the service weasel, the car is not legal for the novice division of autocross, and with the V6, not close to being competitive in the higher classes.
So anyways, I call a couple of places around here looking for OEM rims like I had. Nobody has used, but one place would order me new ones for only $350 a piece . The stock rims are 16x8, which were only used on Corvettes, Camaros, and Firebirds, and since it was close to time to replace the tires anyways I decided I would just buy aftermarket rims and the tires. Getting aftermarket rims in 16x8 is ***** near impossible, and tire choice sucks too. I ended up buying some 17x9 chrome Corvette rims from Discount tire for $250 a piece and going with some lower profile tires. It looks sweet now, and handles like a dream compared to the 16x8s.

I've got 16x7 AR Estrella's with Michelin Harmony's on my Venture, it's a short wheelbase silver with black molding and tints and a decent Alpine system.
The AR's really set it off, Don't look too bad for a soccer-daddy-kiddie hauler :lollol:
