Have put a few miles on the old Trophy now, with the Summer and Winter Clear View Shields from Colorado and they are superb, great quality and worth every penny !
Much better weather protection than stock :-D

I have been running the stock sheild since 1998. Tried one of the larger sheilds several years ago and it blew me all over the road especially if there was an 18 wheeler near by. How much smaller is the summer sheild and how much larger is the winter? Is the winter sheild taller or taller and wider? Have you notice any increased buffeting?

The stock sheild is looking kinda ruff after 8 years of use. I was planning to cut it down 3 to 4 inches for normal use and buy either a stock size or one of the new larger sheilds for the winter. Hopefully the design will be better now than 6 years ago.

This winter shield from Clear View is about the same size as the old Triumph tall shield but it has these special "bends" and vents that eleminate the buffeting and turbulance I had experienced with the old tall stock.....the summer shield made me think "what!" when I first saw it but it looks kool on the bike and the air flow is "par-excelance" it is like riding without a shield but only to your face...it is a well designed shield,,,,,they both are....I wish I had heard of this company earlier.....well, maybe I had and just ignored it, but I am glad I have listened now............................................... .............as far as riding on the interstate, I have not noticed as much blowing around as I did with the old shield........Gee, did I say I liked these shields............ :-D

The tallest shield Clearview has is 4" taller then stock. I really like it. Turbulence is not a big deal due to the vents cut into it. It is a fine accessory for the price.

Ride on.

I`we used a 12" sports screen from clearview, this is a great screen, and it has reduced the buffeting to a minimum. It gives you a clean airflow in your face, it might be a bit cold at the end of the season, but I wont put the stock screen back on even when it was 2,9 degrees Celsius (37,2 F) this morning.

I just installed the medium sized one which only took 20 minutes. It is 22.5 inches tall. It provides a much more pleasant ride. I tested it this past weekend on a 400 mile all interstate roadtrip and I am very pleased with it. The only thing I noticed about it at speeds over 85mph it made my mirrors vibrate. I know I should'nt be driving that fast, but I was going to Barbers and was excited.
BTW I am 6ft tall and have a Rick Mayer saddle (which is lower than stock).

Sounds like you and I sit about the same on the bike due to size. Is the wind diverted from your helmet? I don't want to order one only to realize it is the wrong size. I plan to cut down my stock to make it a fair weather sheild and want the replacement to allow me to ride without messing up my hair (haha).

Is the large clearview with the cutouts any quieter than the the stock screen.
