I am looking for a tank bag. Yeah, I know there have been a lot of threads with tank bag recommendations and I have checked them out but I am looking specifically for one made or works best for a Trophy, if there is one. It would be nice if it were Triumph branded too. Any recommendations and links to sites that have them would be nice. I am also interested in what works for you as far as a tank bag other than Triumph/Trophy specific. Do strap on bags work or are magnetic ones the best (which)? Any links to sites displaying your recommendations would be nice.

Thanks in advance. :-D

I have a Joe Rocket Blaster tank bag I bought primarily to use on my Daytona just to have a little carrying capacity. I also use it on the Trophy once in a while and it works well for me. It is magnetic, and I have had no problems with it. It doesn't have the carrying capacity of a lot of other ones out there, but all i use it for primarily is to put my rainsuit in it and anything else I want quick access to. I prefered the magnetic bag to the straps because I had heard of straps marring the paint.

Strap on tank bags suck! Magnetic bags work pretty well but are a PITA and look horrible IMHO. Last one I had was a Marsee and I liked the construction and functionality.

I generally don't use one though on a long trip it is handy until you need gas.

I'm using a Givi Voyager magnetic one and it's been nothing short of great. It has a top portion that can be removed, leaving the bottom as a decent sized unit for most of my odd stuff. The top portion can also be expanded, but at that point it'd make a good chin rest.
Lots of room and real strong magnets.

There ARE Triumph branded tank bags out there. I recall seeing them on the Internet and thinking how outrageously priced they were too (gee...go figure?)

Unfortunately, it was a while ago and I can't recall if they were strap-on or magnetic.

They WERE really nice bags though.

Hi,

I've used a Baglux since I've had the bike (6 years now). It's not branded but it's colour matched and as the base part covers the whole tank it's a great way of keeping it free of scratches etc.

Bagster USA distro

Highly recommended.

Here's the Triumph branded tank bag:

And here are two reviews of nice bag systems:

Tank Bag Review 2

If you read the 2nd review, it's a very versatile bag with alot of features and can be mounted either magnetically or with straps (or both)

I use the Sargent Superbag system. (www.sargentcycles.com). It works well for me, is extremely versatile, and, even though it's a strap-on system, doesn't shift. It's easy to flip over for refueling. I have the Triumph bag on my Legend, and find the Sargent bag is a little large capacity (in actual use) and doesn't block as much of my guages. Remember, the Triumph bag is also a strap-on system.
