Hi
Im riding my first triple,a 94 900 trophy, and its great, apart from the vibrations through the bars.
Now is it normal? were the earlier models known for vibration,I have to admit,I'm a bit sensitive in the hands and wrists ,and think Iv perhaps got some arthiritus.
As I say I adore the bike but I would feel more settled if I knew the vibes were normal, and not worrying me so!
I guess foam grips would help, but I'd like to know this is routine procedure and not something at fault with the bike.
I was also wondering ,since I'v never ridin a faired bike before ,does the fairing transmit some engine vibration?
My drive chain has done 4.000 miles, and has what seems to me some sideways slack.
Surely this would'nt seem high mileage for a chain?
Thanks for any advice!

On my 1200 there is an adjustment for the balance shafts so I would imagine the triple has the same type of system. Either get a shop manual and adjust yourself or have a local shop do it.

If this is not the issue maybe some bar risers to take weight off the wrists.

Does it do it at all speeds? It could be time for a valve adjustment. If it vibs at one speed check tire balance.
Mine Vibs at 80mph and above, but I am due for a valve check-up.
