I'm operating without a manual for the time being (on order from Fiche-man) and I have to adjust my chain. What's the spec for freeplay with and without someone on the bike?

Are the eccentric indicators accurate and equal? Should you loosen the caliper stabilization arm (making that nomenclature up as I go along...)?

Thanks for your continued help while I figure this great bike out!

With the bike on the center stand, the owner's manual says chain slack should be 1.35 to 1.55 inches. I consider this a little too tight and use a measurement of 1.75". After you have adjusted, put the bike on the ground with some weight on it and double check. Too loose is better than too tight.

You can adjust the chain slack by just loosening the pinch bolts on the end of the swing arm and move both eccentrics and axle together as a unit. If the wheel alignment is off then you will also need to loosen the axle bolt and adjust the eccentrics independently. My eccentric indicators appear to be slightly off.

Thanks Sailfish -

I dinked around with it until I got it. I will recheck for tension now that I know the spec!
