I have a 2000 Trophy 900. When i ride in the rain the bike stall as if running out of gas. When it stalls i wait 1 to 5 minutes, the bike starts and goes to the next stall. In a heavy drizzle i can go 25 miles between stalls, in a downpour 7 miles. Ride out of the rain the bike runs fine. I started my bike locked the trottle at 4000RPM aimed two fans at it and proceded to drence it with a garden hose and can't duplicate the problem. The coils and control unit have been replaced, also checked the gas cap vent and vent hose. Has antone had this problem.

just sneaked over from the hinkley forum. Have you checked the pickup coil and its wiring? another thought is the wiring around the ignition switch and the kill switch. Think I'd go right around the bike checking all the connectors and then give it all a good coat of WD40. Rode my 900 in near monsoon conditions for six days last month without a hiccup. So that itself tells me you have a dodgy component or connector somewhere.

After a good spring cleaning/washing my 900 wouldn't start for 2 days.

Solved my stalling in rain problem. Caused by a vapor lock in the Gas Tank. I disassembled the Gas Cap, Found a Figure 8 Rubber Piece. I drilled two small holes in this Rubber Piece corresponding to the holes in the Gas Cap Assembly already there for venting. Took my Trophy for a 40 mile ride in a downpour without incident.
