Bought a 98 Troiphy in NJ and rode it home to Dallas this week via the Appalachian Trail and the Blue Ridge and Smokies. The bike is a screamer compared to my other mounts and is already at the top of the depth chart. I thought the bike was a great tourer, was comfy wioth the Corbin seatand handled the twisties well, even the Dragon.

I really had only two complaints. A little surging at around 4000 rpm which I think is a carb synchro or jet issue and a little too much wind noise. I think a 3-4" taller shield would really cut the noise and allow me to hear my XM better. I know Clearview makes them, anyone else?

All I can say is what a great ride :-D

Clearview makes about the best out there and will let you try it for 30 days.

I had a real mini shield that came with the bike and i'ts great for the summer. I ordered a medium shield and found it just at the wrong height for my line of sight and sent it back for the large. No questions asked. Now there is no noise and buffeting.

They are a little slow this time of the year but worth the wait

I just ordered a Clearview screen for my 2003, had one on my 95. Can't say anything but good things about em. You can go either way: their replacement that is larger (I think-didn't go that way), to cut additional air to your face/torso, or the Sport screen-which is 4" shorter than stock and probably for those riding alone, and going for a lower riding profile. I like the sport, but to each their own. I have pictures that they sent me. Email me direct if ya want em.

I'd be interested in any pictures of the screen you had on the '95. Mine is structurally fine, but glazing over.
