Thats for the alarm. If you dont have an alarm, the light is not in use.
And when you turn the key, there should be oil, temp and neutral and sidestand warning. I think  Have to check next time to be certain

Have to check the manual, cause my temp warning light does not show when I turn the ignition on.

My temp light doesn't show when I turn the key on either. I think that's the way it is...anyone know for sure?

Just curious: Jim

My temp. light does not go on as well. As far as I know it shouldn't.

I was going to reply to this earlier and I kept forgetting after going for a ride. The only lights that come on are the nuetral, sidestand warning, and oil pressure.
