Does anybody know if the instrument panel (guages) is actually attached somehow or does it just rest on the steering head with the cables and fairing keeping it stable. After noticing my left side (fuel guage side) was bouncing a little I checked out the service manual to see if there was actually any fasteners to keep in anchored. I couldn't find any in the diagrams. I took off the left side of the cockpit area (charcoal gray color) just to access the panel better and could not find anything actually keeping the panel in place. The left side instrument assembly could be lifted up 2inches but the fairing prevents it from possibly coming out. I never noticed this before so I figure something got loose.

Something got loose Freddy, but I'll be darned if I remeber what it is. It's been a couple of years snice I have had my fairing off the bike, but I remember the instrument panel was in there tight.

Thanks for the reply Scott. In the meantime I have a rubber spacer placed between the fuel guage and the fairing. It keeps things from moving too much. It does have me perplexed though.

Thanks dj, I will look into it and get it tightened up.

Ride on, preferably on a Trophy.
