Last week the Mrs and I took a short tour to Door County, a beautiful part of Northeastern Wisconsin. The Triumph ran great and made a perfect short-tour bike for 2 people. One glitch though - the rear shock is now completely dead, beyond any hope of resuscitation. It was completely bottoming out on any bump bigger than a mild one. Burying it in the Pet Semetary brought it back to life, but as an Evil Shock, so I had to kill it again.
Are our shocks rebuildable? I see there are a few shock rebuilders on the web. If I have to replace it, what economical replacement would you recommend? I'm not in the market for a $1000 Ohlins, just something to keep it riding comfortably on my tours and local commuting. Any help is appreciated.
