My guess is that the Euro riders place a higher premium on handling than they do being able to touch the ground.

Now that is an understatement !!! plus their secondary roads are just great for bike riding and when they are out and about they dress and ride as if in a Grand Prix event. Now just think if the "poms" had had some forward vision we might be making the difficult choice of selecting modern machines from the likes of AJS, Ariel, BSA, Matchless, Norton as well as our current Triumph ride. :-D
