My front tire is begining to cup at 7000 miles. Looks just like the way the Bridgestones did. I hoped that "high mileage" tires meant more than 10k. BTW I have the Avon Azaro st45 & 46's.

What pressure are you running in the front tire Mark?

I have just put Avon Azaros on My 1200 Trophy, first time away from Bridgestone. Running at manual recommended pressure 36 front 41 rear.
Had them on less than one month and picked up a big chunck of glass in the rear.
Glad to say that Avon replaced the tyre free of charge (had to pay for the fitting). So at least this company keeps its promise, as long as there is a minimum of 5.8mm of tread or less than 1000 miles on the tyre.

I was wondering becuase I talked to someone, can't remember who now, and he was running 38 PSI in his front Avon and basically, so far, so good. He told me they seem to wear better at the higher pressure.

My '95 Trophy 1200 would cup just about any tire around untill i tried a Michelin Road Pilot. Seems to have cured that problem.

I am cupping on Metzlers at 6200.......very disappointed. I tried relligously to check pressure. I think I am trying the Michelin' next or maybe the Azaro.
Is there any tire that you can get if you are mostly slabing that is a 10K sure thing? :???:

I've got aprox' 6000 miles on my Michelin Road Pilots, and my front tire still looks great. The salesman told me they have larger contact patches on the front designed to help combat cupping. So far he is right.
