I have been considering buying a Airhawk seating system (aka cushion) to be used on my stock saddle for my 02 Trophy. Anyone have experience with the Airhawk. Motorcycle Consumer News had nothing but praise for the product. Expensive, but is it worth it?

See my reply in the gel seat enquiry. Air Hawk is the only way to travel distance.

Netmaker,
I appreciate the response. I saw the gel seat reply and it seems consistent with what I have read about the Airhawk.

When you first sit on the air cushion it feels a little "squiggly" but you will get used to that and as you settle in for the ride you will find that you can move around on it as if you are "floating" on the cushion. Try to find the lowest amount of pressure that will keep you clear of contact with the seat and that will be the most comfortable. To some degree it will isolate you from the road/bike conditions feedback, that hard contact with a seat provides, but on a touring ride it is not as if you are running at the limit on a winding road and require constant feedback. I also have one for the passenger and we have run for 10 hour days with the cushion. I guess it depends on an individuals sensitivity in the backside area.
