Well just like almost everyone else here the stock screen on my trophy buffets me like crazy. So with spring time here I was wondering what the best way and height to cut down the stock screen on a 98 T12? I'll wait until fall to purchase the larger Clearview and enjoy the breeze of the shorter one spring and summer. Experiences and directions would be greatly apperciated. Thanks!! BTW I'm 6'3 if that matters on the cut down.

Me and a buddy cut the screen on my Tropy with out any trouble at all. I first took some tape and played with the aesthetics and the countours. After I got the look, height, and symetry I was looking for I traced where I wanted the cut to go with a black marker. I then placed tape on the side of the screen I wanted to keep to protect the finish. I removed the screen from the bike and proceeded to make the cut. We used a Sawzall, my buddy did the cutting and I held the piece firmly. Go slow and you should have no problems. Use a metal or plastic cutting blade in either a Sawzall or jigsaw. Put the little rubber trim piece back and it will look factory. Good luck!

Maybe the same directions as above but with a Dremel tool and it's basic disc cutter. I've used that on many plastics and it makes for nice smooth edges.

The dremel is the best tool to cut plastic, a normal jigsaw could break the plastic. And if you should cut it down, I would go for about 12" like the sport screen from clearview.

I am interested in this as well. How many inches are you planning to cut from the top? And for those of you that have done it how much do you recommend?

Trophynorway - Is that 12" from the center bottom?

I cut mine down an inch or two below where the screen turned up at the top. It's still a little tall, but I was still looking for some wind protection.

The clearview sport screen is 12" from bottom to the lowest point on the top center.
