All,

I'm getting ready to install a Powerlet on left inner panel of my 97 Trophy. The bike has an accessory female (parralell blade) plug on the wiring harness...where can I find the male connector?

I thought about wiring it the "easy way", using inline fuse and connecting it directly to the battery, but there's the empty female connector already built into the wiring harness...

Ideas??

Thanks,

Sean

Greetings,

You may want to invest about $25-30 in a cool little power box available thru White Horse Press. I'm probably going to get one myself.

As I understand, it connects to the battery, allowing you to hook up 4 or 6 external items. It has fuses for every terminal. It looked really slick and small.

Good luck,

Tom.

Remove the chin panel. Look up on the left side of the wiring harness, forward of the fuse box (as you are facing the front of the bike)...There is a black colored, waterproof, female connector.

On the 900's, it is connected to the number 4 fuse (10 amp).
I beleive this connection is also off when the ignition is off.
(haven't tested it)

The connection is designed for the Triumph heated grips... You could cut the existing connector off and use your own male/female connector...because you'll never find that male connector! (But if you do, let me know!)

FYI- The right side of the wiring harness has the connections for the alarm/imobilizer.

Hope this helps.

Sean
