Having parted with my Bonneville earlier this year I knew that I wouldn't be Triumph-less for too long. So agreed a deal on a '99 Trophy 900 (silver) today :)

It has 17k on the clock, very well maintained and just what I was looking for (it currently lives half a mile from my house although I've never noticed it before!). I was surprised at how light they are (well, anything's light compared to my FJR) and I think that I could have fun touring on this bike.

At least I know my way around the forum :D

Pics to follow once I collect the bike.

Congrats on the new scoot lad. You'll definitely find the added performance (compared to the Bonnie) a big plus. I have a '97 that I've owned since new, and have owned two different 'modern classic' Bonnie variants (a Thruxton and a Scrambler). The Trophy is only 20cc larger in displacement; but has close to 90% more power. Sold both of the Bonnie variants, still have the Trophy. :)

I know what you mean about the power difference,I had a 07 Scrambler and it just didnt have the needed urge to get down the road,my 1200 Trophy doesnt lack a bit for go-power.
Those twin shock bikes look neat and all but the 1200 is way smoother through bumps.

After I sent it back twice without getting it just right, Seargent Motorcycle Saddle's owner, Mark Todd, did mine for me personally, and iit came ou tgreat. No sliding forward. . They now have intimate knowlege on how to do a Trophy seat exactly right. Tell 'em you want it this way:
