I have never had a problem with mine. I start getting signs of needing to go to reserve when it gets to the red and everything. The only way to get the tank actually full is to fill it up while holding the bike upright or on the center stand. What issue are you having?

This girls gauge is all over the place. Reads full, 10 minutes later 1/4 tank, then up to 3/4 and down to empty. Totally unreliable, I use the trip odometer to tell me the fuel level.

Kinda sounds like a loose wire.

Mine does change quite a bit when I rock the bike(gas is moving back and forth) and when its upright, it will read 3/4 but on the side stand, it will read1/4, but I'd say thats normal. For the most part its reliable when going down the road. I think they started putting baffles in the tanks to prevent this though.

Mine works, it's just not the most accurate thing in the world. same situation as whitecap described.

I believe they're all like that. No damping effect, so every stop, go and turn causes the needle to jump. You should get a steady and reasonably accurate reading when moving at a steady speed, however.

Miine goes to 1/2 full in 60 miles, then it takes another 120 or so to go below 1/4. So....if you haven't already guessed, I use my trip odometer for the most part.

Mine works consistently, but I go more by mileage anyway.

Mine actually works great on my 900. Consistantly, I get 50 miles on the first quarter, another 50 on the second, another 50 on the third, and by the time I'm hitting 200 miles, I'm getting close to having to switch to reserve.

yes, it has the bobbing needle effect from 1/2 to 3/4 ranges, but outside of that, it's pretty darn close.

Mine is like Jim's. less than 50 mile to the half way mark, but about 100 mile in the bottom half. By the sape of the tank you'd think it would be the opposite
