Just trying to see if anyone can help me find an aftermarket windscreen as the factory on is great for winter but not so great for the 100 degree plus weather in the southwest

here's a couple of links you might want to look at. I have not heard much about the Bikescreens windscreens, but I have heard a lot of positive comments about Clearview.

Speaking of windshields.....Does anyone know of a quieter windshield? When I replaced my seat and added Gen-mars the wind noise lessened, but I don't know if it's because I sit higher in relasion to the windshield IE lower windshield or if because it's because I sit further back.

Now that the seating is sorted out I'd like to get the wind noise under control. Any thoughts? :???:

www.bikescreens.com hooks you up with Visual screens, one of which I have on my '01 900. It's nicely made, fits perfectly, and works a treat. Wind noise is noticeably less than with the stock screen, and the buffeting is reduced to almost nothing. When I ordered mine last year, it was about two weeks from ordering to getting it in the mail. Considering it was coming from halfway around the world (New Zealand - USA), I was impressed.

Which www.bikescreens.com model did you go for Blue885? 7211, 7210, 7211A1 or 7211A2 ?

I really want to stop the buffetting!

Cheers,
Jeremy

Mine's an '01, so I went for the 7211A2, what they call the Low Profile screen, which fits the '99 and later.

On the earlier ones, you can get just about the same profile by cutting off the stock screen. There are some pictures of cut-down stockers on the Yahoo Trophy website. The >'99 fairings are a bit different than the '96-'98 and cutting down the later stock screens just doesn't look right, IMHO.

Sorry it took so long to respond; it's been a looooong week.

I bought a Gustafsson sport clear for my 97 900. $100
Love it, Looks better then stock, less noise, perfectly clear with no distortion and a "cleaner" airflow. He's a very nice and knowledgable person to talk to and will make most anything for you.

Here's the URL: Gustafsson Plastics

Go check the MRA windscreens. I recently put the MRA touring screen on and am very happy with it. I'm in clean air and there is absolutely no turbulence around my head (and no turbulence-related noise). The rouned shape and spoiler top really complement the Trophy. I now ride with this screen even on cold days.

Check the MRA website or twistedthrottle.com (US distributor).
