I've noticed that I have 2 scuffs on my rear hugger, 1 on each side
and they are both at the same height. They've been there for a long
time but they're more noticable now due to there being a bit of
brown dirt on them too.

It's just dawned on me that the scuffs must be caused by the hugger
rubbing against the underside of the bike when the rear suspension
is compressed .... hence the dried mud from under the arch ! That
tells me that either I need to either adjust the rear setting to
make it stiffer ( without making the bike uncomfortable ) or get a
skinnier wife, I'd prefer to do the former ;-)

I have noticed that the bike does feel a bit wallowy on the
roundabouts etc, what setting would be advisable ?

P.S I weigh just over 11 stone and I'd say the Mrs is a little
heavier ;-)

Cheers
Andy

Andy, As far as the reference to "She Who Must Be Obeyed", all I can say is: "You're a better man than I Gunga Din"!

Hope this finds you still well: Jim

I have the same scuffs on my Sprint Executive hugger. They got bigger after I loaded heavy for a month long trip. I'm pretty sure that the hugger and the bag mounts collide. I also suspect that the more you put in the bags, the bigger the scuffs are. That or the swing arm moves that much farther due to the weight.
