I just got home from my first Dragon Raid. I will be going back...The Tail of the Dragon is an awesome road, along with many others around there. I can't say enough about that part of the country. Anyway I have pictures in my photo album if anyone is interested. Thanks, Rick

Looks like you had decent weather. Great pics! I wanted to see that museum last time I was on the way back from NC, but didn't have time! I hear you need at least 3-4 hours to touch it.

How do you like the Cherohala? That was my personal favorite in the area, I ran it like 6 times. Best in the evening and early morning (what isn't right?).

One day I want to ride the BRP all the way up to MA and from there head to Nova Scotia and perhaps even Newfoundland.

You are talking about my backyard weekend playground !!!! The foothill's area, and up into the Appalachians, from either NC / SC / GA / TN, is bike riders heaven. Of course at the "Tail" you have to watch for the cruiser riders, coming at you from the opposing direction, who swing wide and there are regular incidents with those riders trying to run it too fast for the bike's ability. The Trophy handles the roads in this country with ease and I have replaced several sets of pegs since buying the bike. :-D

I enjoyed sitting at the dam and hanging out with the other riders. I am too fat and too old for knee dragging, but enjoy talking bike. I have been three times so far...
(twice on my volusia and once on the trophy, but a coil failed while I was there and sputtered around on 2 1/2 cyl)
