HI All, Does anyone know if stiffer springs and/or stronger shocks are availible for the '96 1200 Trophy? When riding two-up with loaded bags and gear it's not unusual to bottom out on bad bumps. The pre load is dialed all the way up. Thanks for the help Jeff

Hagon, amongst others.
When you say bottoming out do you mean the damper is traveling its full length of compresion and bottoming out on the rubber donut at the bottom of the damper rod?, that's why the donut is there.

I'll be changing mine also so I can give it a bit more preload for the same reasons as you, it should also eliminate the wallowing effect when cornering.
There are others on the market but I'm sticking with Hagon coz that's what I know and I know they work for me.

Hi Davie, Thanks for the info. You are correct about the suspension traveling the max and hitting the stops. I've found that with the pre-load at max and the front forks filled to the max mark with a slightly heavier fork oil that the ride is great single up with a small load. Obviously I don't run as hard with my wife on the back but it would be better if I could stiffen the rear a little more for two up trips. Please let me know the results of your conversion. How much difference in the ride. I keep hoping to find some type of adjustable air shock / spring combo. Thanks again for the help. Jeff :-D :-D

I don't think I'll be doing anything to the bike till the winter, and then I'm putting it off the road and giving it the works bottom end, top end, carburation, susspension, chain and sprockets and quite possibly a complete stainless exhaust system.

Well that's what I'd like to do but how much of it I can afford is another matter.
