Triumph Seats

Seems like we have different recommendations for the "notorious" Triumph motorcycle seat. Obviously different Okoles like different foam densities and shapes.
I had my Trophy seat rebuilt by Sargent Cycle http://www.sargentcycle.com/. Like the shape but the seat had some small tears and the foam was "dead". After 45 minutes your butt was killing you. So I had the "Atomic Foam" (dense foam) installed. Recently put in a 3 day / 725 mile trip in and the butt did fine.
I was leary of Corbin and Mustang because their seats are leather and I didn't want the hassle of taking care of a leather seat.

I also have the Sargent and am happy with it. My brother has the Corbin and it is a bit hard and slippery for my taste. I have a Mustang on my Yamaha and am with happy with it.

I went through this exercise 13 years ago w/Sargent. Glad to hear they are still doing good work. When I had the seat on my '96 reworked (2 weeks after I bought it new), I changed the profile, added the atomic foam, removed the flip in back that was bugging my wife when she road, lowered the driver's pocket, moved the step back, and maybe a few other things. Now, 55K miles later, I'm still riding it, still enjoying it.

When Sargent re-worked my stock seat, they absoulutely would NOT make any suggestions to profile, etcetera. They asked for a sketch of what I wanted to do, and they followed my directions perfectly. If they're still doing that, make sure you know what modifications you want to make. Don't blame them if they do what you asked, and it's still not what you want!

Ride On!

Amazingly affordable too.

I had purchased a new seat cover (from Sargent actually) and he installed that along with the mod to the pad at no additional charge - he said same work whether installing replacement cover or new cover, so same price. I just included it in the box along with the seat and seat came back with the new cover installed

I love the way it feels now!
