Trophy laid over at zero speed

The previous owner of my 98 1200 Trophy had to lay it down on its right side after pulling up to a mountain road, stopping and stepping into a hole with his right foot.
The fairing on the right side is now very close to the fuel tank and when riding I can see a slight tilt off level towards the left. You get the feeling you are slightly leaning left as you head down the road.
You can see this tilt when it is on the center stand also.
The gap between the left fairing and the fuel tank is close to 1/2 inch. The gap on the right measures about 1/8 inch.
I'm going to attempt to right things but was wondering what is normal.
I would guess that these types of measurements would very but on a trophy that hasn't been "down" what might the clearances be?

Thanks to anyone up to taking some measurements.

A question would be "has the right side pushed the left side away from the tank"?

Wayne,
I hope these are somewhat useable.
Let me know if you need a more detailed shot -- it'll have to wait until the weekend when i can pull the bike out.

Sorta an overview shot

Thanks Mike.
Looks pretty consistent 1/2 inch or so around the tank.
I guess the approach I'll take will be to pull both side fairings and measure the angles of the mounting brackets and adjust the right side to match the left. I'm wondering if the right fairing is just pushing over the front fairing at this point. Well we'll see.
I'll post again when I learn something.

Faring gaps in the mist

The faring has two flimsy brackets holding it out form the cylinders, they can be re-bent to adjust the lower part and take out any inward bowing. If the gap is off around the tank it's probably due to the tank slipping on it's two mounting bolts underneath the bracket in back. They live in slots that allow the tank to be adjusted if the whole bracket is removed - a little will look like hell from above.
Understand also that the faring is a stressed skin design: if you loosen, but don't remove all the screws you can push it back into shape and tighten up again. This might work.
Another, more serious, problem could be the front spider having gotten warped by the fall; did the front piece crack, or the mirror break? They're tricky but far from impossible to straighten, takes measuring from a common and imaginary center point between the upper front legs.

Cheers,
Zaphod

Zaphod...

Thanks for the comments.

The visible damage is a little rash on the lower right toward the front and the right turn signal lens was replaced and there is a small crack in the turn signal housing which was glued up. When I took all (except front) of the fairings and gas tank off a couple of months ago I also found that one of the screw mounts for the bottom (black) cowling had broken with some fairing still attached. I'll glue that up.

Nothing cracked or bent up front as much as I can tell.

I'll measure the brackets for angle and check for bending. Hope to tweek this back into alignment.
