Nology coil question??

When replacing the stock coils with new Nology units, do you need new plug wires?? Thanks in advance...

No. When I replaced the coils on my D12 with Nology ones, all that was required was to pull off the old wires (they are a friction fit), replace the coils, then press the existing wires onto the new coils. It is very simple task. Getting the tank off is the tedious part.

More Info: Was reading a link from one of the threads tonight and came across some information indicating that different wires were needed for the Nology coils. This is NOT my experience, as my installation needed only to replace the coils and use existing wires. I don't know if this link is just wrong, or perhaps some Trophys are different. However, when I bought my Nology coils I telephoned them and they were very helpful, so perhaps Nology knows if some Trophys need different wires for their coils. Tel: Toll free in U.S.: 1-800-665-6491 or 760-591-0888 (California). Fax: 760-591-0880

This is the link about Trophys. See "Ignition" info.

For a while, Nology was out of the "exact fit" coils and was sending some that needed new ends on the wiring. That is the only issue I am aware of.
