Screen modification

Just to say, I did the screen modification suggested at http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/...il%20by%20Rod/ and it works a treat. Keeps the wind blast off completely.

Good man, I was the first to make one after seeing a similar thing for sale for various bikes.
Rod then made one and did a excellent write up and took some photos.
I can ride my Trophy at 90 + mph with my visor up, bliss!

I'm not sure mine has been quite as successful as that, Mick. I don't think I'd want to lift my visor on the motorway; there's still some air there to get in my eyes. Perhaps we can compare at a get-together sometime? The only thing I did differently was to shape the aerofoil slightly differently to the instructions and add some trim round to make it look smart. Perhaps modifying the shape a little would make it even more effective?

If this works, you should see a photo of my Trophy!

My aerofoil is 6"high x 12" wide, curved to the shape of the original screen by heating it in the oven!
The upper edge of the aerofoil is about 3" higher than the original screen.

I got them from here: http://www.sportouring.com/ They are 'Staintunes' made in Australia, they are not cheap (nearly cost me a divorce!) and I'm not 100% sure they still do them for the Trophy.
