Hi, I need to replace the chain and sprockets on my 95 1200 Trophy. I've never worked on a bike with eccentric chain adjusters before so before diving in I would appreciate a little advice. Basically a blow by blow guide to removal.

Obviously the rear caliper needs removing, the pinch bolts securing the adjusters need slackening off and the hex bolts that pass through the adjusters to the axle require removing - but after that does the axle need 'knocking through' the adjusters or do you remove both adjusters?

This is probably basic stuff to most but I just cant visualise how to go about it. I'm used to 70's and 80's japanese bikes with simple bolt and lock nut chain adjustment.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You are on the right track. Loosen the pinch bolts on ecentric, remove caliper and remove axle.
