The tourer war is heating up. The Honda ST Pan European looks a cracking bike. The Yam XJR 1300 Tourer also (but prefer the Pan) and of course BMW continue to churn out fantastic tourers by the hundred.

The Trophy with its 4 carbs is so far behind it should be withdrawn until the new model is ready.

In the meantime as I dont want to buy a Jap bike, if "T" dont get a move on and show the new Trophy I have found my replacement bike.

Welcome back Guzzi.

Sorry guys, you cant be sentimental. I've alrteady missed one summer waiting for the new Trophy and dont want to miss another!

Wow - very pretty bike - but then again its posed so its suposed to be! It looks VERY BMW to me, but thats not nessisarilly bad.

If you haven't ridden the Aprilia Futura, its a fun machine - I rode one in a demo fleet ride so I didn't get to do alot of variety with it but it was nice way to spend a couple of dozen miles.

I'm sure part of the problem for T is that, with production stopped, if they annouce a major make over and get people excited and can't build the bikes, they'll be taking a worse black eye then to sit and wait? What do you think?

Hi Coldnight.

I expect they're waiting for the new 1300 cc engine to be fully tested before lauching the roadshow.

Ok, I'm in a bad mood today 'cos my CBX started running on 4 cylinders last night instead of 6 (....) but they shouldn't of wasted time and resources on the 22 whilst the Trophy - a key market sector was becoming a dynasaur.

By the way, I've never read such a glowing bike test report as the ST1300 Pan Euro as seen on the Rider website.

I aint got a bike for the weekend and I blame...... a 23 year old CBX for gettin' old and me not realising. Come on T....

I realize this link is old, but WOW that's a beautiful bike! Shocked that I've never seen a picture of it before. Front end looks just like an RT. Nice alternative to a BMW.
