Center stand broken and repaired
The first time my center stand broke was 4yrs ago. I welded it back together and welded 1/2x1/8 x 3" doublers to reinforce the weld. One of the doublers snapped after 4 yrs.
This time is purchased a 6" x1/2" bolt, cut the head and threads off. Placed the shank inside the tube (the one you put your foot) welded the tube together, grind the welds, installed two more doublers, grinded again and then painted. Took 2-3 beer and same # of hrs.
