Help for 1200 needed.

The 1999 1200 is driving me nuts. Please help.
It misfires at most revs.

No 1 2 &3 plugs are O.K. but a weak colour but No 4 is black.

I cleaned all the lines.& filters.
Fitted new rubber carb manafolds.
K&N filter
New plugs
New coil
new leads.

I bought the coil and leads to solve this problem.

Anyone got any ideas?

Meanwhile i will strip the carbs again and clean out the pilot jets again.

Thanks in advance for your hepl!

Mike

Fixed?

As the problem is with No4 I tried to remove the floatbowl still whilst on the bike. No luck so I took off the top cover to discover the spring was not seated properly.
I fixed it in place, and sacked my helper."nothing is my fault".
The bike runs but still has some poping now and again. Im going to give it a good run and see what happens.

Sounds like you are on to something. Since you had the carbs a part did you syncronize them? If the grips are "buzzy" at speeds then you really need to sync the carbs.
My 1200 pops when cold.

My 900 pops a little on the overrun, but I do run it rich (bottom clip on the carb needles).
