Just got my 2nd Trophy

I just picked up my 2nd Trophy, year 2000 in green (heard they were the fastest )

I had a 95 in Blue but after a while sold it with regrets. I've looked for a Trophy for quite some time so when this one became available I bought it. Just under 10k miles on the odo and other than needing a new chain and sprockets and some attention to the rear brake it runs perfect. It starts without hesitation even on colder days, is super smooth and I'm getting just a tad over 40 mpg riding a combined city/highway.

My list of things to do first are the chain and sprockets, the brake of course and then some bar rizers as I feel much better riding a little more upright (I'm 5"10).

I'm going to go with a 38 tooth rear sprocket as the machine will easily handle slightly taller gearing. I'm 160 lbs and anyone that gets on back needs to weigh less than 115 pounds so power isn't going to be an issue. A taller windscreen when I can find one will also help.

This Trophy is super smooth and I fell no buzzing at all, at any speed. I've had an ST1100 before so I'd know if it buzzed. I really like the fairing as the 95 had less coverage and my other bike (V-Strom 1000) let air get past.

Glad to be here and see others riding Trophies. A perfectly named bike.

That's very cool - any chance of seeing pictures of your bike?

Pic of my Trophy and its stable mate.

This is my new to me Trophy forward of the V-Strom DL1000. A nicer pair I couldn't imagine.

At first I thought it would be hard to transition between them since they ride so different but it is easy. I switch between them every day or so.

The V-Strom is sooooooo much taller though and the leg room is really different. I think that is because with the Strom you might need to go from seated to standing quickly if you go off-road.

Now, if I could win the lotto so all I had to do was ride...

Very nice looking pair!!

Geez, I forgot how the Trophy looks with stock calipers.

I sold mine on eBay after buying a set of 'Busa calipers.
