New Trophy 12 owners- thoughts?
G'day from OZ, has any of our international riding friends taken delivery yet? I've got dibs on a new one and hoping to have before new year....
Curious to hear your thoughts? Mods? Options? Do's and dont's?

Not sure any have been released to customers as yet and if they have, the weather is so aweful, torrential rain, floods and now snow, that unlikely anyone has taken them out.

I've had mine a week and just had first service. It's a standard with some extras(tyre pressure monitoring, low heated seat, top box, paint protection, alarm). Great bike, just as advertised, had planned to post a detailed update when I had a moment but I can assure you its better in all ways than my old R1200 RT and in most ways than my K1300GT.

I'd like to read more about that "low heated seat", especially the "low" part of it. I have a 27" inseam and am hoping the advertised 30.3" will be a true measurement. I figure a 29" (or lower) can be built from that 30.3 pretty easily. Then if I make it 2" narrower, I have about the same ride height as my beemers.

Cruisin
My leg is 29" and low seat is fine for me. The seat is quite broad (and very comfortable) compared to my former bike seat (K1300GT) which was intentionally narrow at the front. I am sure you will be able to make a custom eat to suit 27". Tom

thanks trom,
keep us posted on the performance of that new Trophy. The lines are getting long for those wanting one in their stable.

I've got one
I test rode the silver one on November 1st and was so impressed that I took delivery of mine on December 1st.
Mine is the SE ver.sion and has the following fitted.
Heated grips
Heated rider & pillion seats
Radio
TPMS
Full luggage
GPS bracket (to be fitted in February) as the part is not available till then.
I have done nearly 500 glorious miles and just got it back from the dealership after its first 500 mile service.
Niggles
Screen got stuck twice, it refused to go up, they rebooted the computer and all is well.
Cubby box will not lock, a new one has been ordered on warranty as the lock was getting stuck half way...
I appear to have a e x t r e e m l y slow puncture. No sign of any ingress by a foreign body or the valve leaking.. Grrrrr
Everything else W O W great bike love love love it.
I can balance on the rear brake down to about 2 mph the weight whilst it is moving just seems to magically disappear, I don't know how it just does.
If you can afford it buy one.
To all the guys at North City Triumph Chadwell Heath a big thanks.
