Atlanta IMS Show

The Atlanta IMS Show starts tomorrow (11/2/12) and runs through Sunday. Triumph should have at least one Trophy SE on display. Anyone going? I'd love to, but have appointments scheduled Friday & Saturday, and plans for Sunday that preclude me going.

Pictures, please! Also, any info you can glean from the staff to answer questions posed on this board would be great! (Like when we can actually buy one. Why not the "plain Jane" edition in the US? Do the turn signals self-cancel?)

You may have lots of other questions.

Did anyone go to this show, and can they confirm if the Trophy was there? I'm going to the Dallas show this weekend and really want to see this bike before I do something stupid.

It was at the Atlanta show. The blue one. Really a gorgeous bike. There are only 2 in the US at present, one blue, one silver. First arrivals for purchase end of the year. Triumph staff I spoke to stated that more new stuff is coming down the pipeline from Triumph. No details.

I fail to see the hubbub about being identical to the BMW. It looks nothing like one to me, other than being a large tourer. Really comfortable seat and ergos. Excellent attention to detail from the factory. I really liked the looks of it.

No self canceling turn signals. That's why God gave us thumbs.

Self-cancelling turn signals?

After spending 'way too much time researching, I found the specs for the new Trophy on-line. This paragraph indicates the turn signals are self-cancelling, but can be switched to manual if desired.

From the brochure:
"Adjustable seat height (20mm). Panniers 31 litres each. Coded key immobiliser. Ride by wire throttle. Linked brakes (front
brakes partially activated by rear), ABS (non-switchable). Electronically adjustable screen with memory function. Sealed, automatically lockable cockpit storage box with 12v power socket. Small sealed underseat storage box. Rider and pillion power socket. Self-cancelling indicators (can be switched to manual). Cruise control. Traction control (switchable, always defaults to on). Dedicated D-lock storage (under seat). Quick release mountings for accessory tank bag. Dedicated SatNav mounting bracket location (mount bracket available as accessory). Electronically adjustable headlight position. Centre stand. Audio system. TES. TPMS. 2×20W speakers with digital signal processing and 3 band (bass, mid-range, treble) equalisation with automatic volume control (AVC) automatically adjusts volume based on vehicle speed. USB port with flash drive and MP3 player support (file types supported: AAC, FLAC, MP3, OGG and WAV). Compatible with iPod and iPhone (selected devices) via USB port. FM/AM/WX radio tuner with 15 presets per band. Integrated SiriusXM satellite radio receiver, with 15 presets. NOAA weather alerts. RDS functionality (alternative frequencies (AF), traffic alerts (TA), regional tuning (RG) and enhanced other networks (EON) (all markets except Japan). Program type tuning (PTY) i.e. News, Rock, Pop etc. (all markets except Japan). Auxiliary input allowing sat-nav instructions to be played through vehicle speakers. Bluetooth® 2.1+EDR , providing: output to up to two compatible headsets (using A2DP profile), input from up to two compatible devices (using A2DP profile), incoming phone call support (compatible phone and headsets required). Low voltage detection automatic shutdown to preserve battery)."

I'm encouraged to see that it will allow Bluetooth output to 2 headsets, and that 2 input devices can also be connected via Bluetooth. I hope this means I can connect both my android phone and Zumo 220 via Bluetooth, and that me and my pillion can listen to the same music streaming from my phone. I'm starting to get excited about this bike and can't wait to throw a leg over one when the International Motorcycle Show comes to DC early January.
