I've been given the honor of organizing the TNT (Triumphs in Taos) event.
Bob has done an excellent job of keeping the rally going and getting the Triumph "family" together in the beautiful setting of Taos,NM.
I look forward to continuing his path in making this a most enjoyable experience for those that travel from far and near to make this event!
The dates are going to be the weekend after Labor Day which is Friday September 9th to Sunday the 11th.
Same event location at the Kachina Lodge.
I anticipate participants to be able to start booking rooms by mid June, I appreciate everyone's patience during this transition.
More to follow soon, Blue Skies & Happy Trails, Andy

Looks like you are well on your way Andy...you have mastered being able to post on the Forum... It was nice talking with you and your wife today and it looks like you have things under control with TnT 2016. If you have any other questions you can call, text, or email me.

All the best!!!

Bob

Just reserved our rooms today.

Whats the word on the barbecue/burgers and the raffle? Is Erico still doing the T-shirts?

We have a few items we would like to offer as prizes.

Last year was our first year, but we would like to do our part to help it continue, maybe even grow.

Here is what I know as of today regarding Triumphs in Taos 2016. When I determined I wasn't going to be able to organize this years event, and Sean had a conflict as well, we were contacted by Arthur in Arizona expressing interest in doing it. He had asked for a couple of weeks to sort things out and he told Sean he would get back to him. That was in early May and he dropped off the grid never getting back to him saying he would or wouldn't organize TnT this year. We were then contacted by Andy in Albuquerque offering to take over TnT this year. I spoke with Andy the last week of May, went over everything telling him if he had any other questions to get in touch with me. He posted later that day he expected to have information posted on the Forum about this years event by mid June so people could start the registration process. As of today nothing has been posted and I have not heard from Andy so I am a bit confused.

I just returned from camping down in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and since I was close to Taos, I rode down Tuesday and stopped by the Kachina Lodge and spoke to Cheryl. She hasn't heard anything from Andy for over a month either so this adds to my confusion. She has had 4-5 people reserve rooms but that is all as of Tuesday. Since I am not involved this year Erico MotorSports will not be involved as they were assisting me because of my long standing relationship with them. The EMRAT Club is promoting it locally as always with the members but they are not involved in organizing TnT.

I wish I had more promising news regarding Triumphs in Taos 2016 but that is where things stand as off today. Sean and I have always promoted this event starting early in the year on the Forum so people from across the country can make plans to attend. In addition, promoting with Triumph dealers locally, in the West and Southwest asking for their support. Not to mention soliciting donations from Triumph N.A., Forum sponsors, and dealers asking for donations for the raffle. At this point it appears none of this has been done I am sorry to report.

I have no idea if TnT 2016 will happen this year or not but I felt I should post up current information with regard to things as I know it.

Andy is still working on it. He has had some challenges, but the rooms are blocked off, which is the biggest part. He posted on the facebook page.

When I spoke with him previously, he was having a hard time getting Cheryl to return his calls. That is pretty true to pattern, I have been to every Triumphs in Taos to date. Of the messages that I have left for a call back, I've not had one returned. I'm not angry about it, but just pointing out a potential challenge in working with the Kachina.

I did receive a voice mail from Andy yesterday updating me as to why he hasn't posted the TnT information here on TRN. Evidently he was having computer issues but has that resolved now and indicated he will be posting up the information over the weekend. There was no mention of not getting any return phone calls from Cheryl being the issue.. In defense of Cheryl, I never had an issue reaching her or getting a return phone call being the lead contact and organizer of Triumphs in Taos the past few years. Regarding posting on Facebook, I have no clue as I don't do Facebook and this event is and has been a TriumphRAT.net event. Posting on Facebook doesn't update the Forum members unless it is indicated here in the TnT sticky.

In any event, Andy did leave me the voice mail and my confusion and concern has been abated. I know Andy will get things posted and updated over the weekend so all appears to be on track for TnT 2016.

It's great that they have been responsive to you, as you were a primary contact for the event. Hopefully Andy will have the same experience.

I'm sure Andy will no issues coordinating with Cheryl as I had no issues in the past years as I mentioned...I think Cheryl has enough to do being the General Manager of the Kachina than talk with attendees. My feeling is she prefers to only deal with the lead person when it comes to events like Triumphs in Taos. If she was talking to any and all attendees to an event things could get screwed up. If there is a question by someone attending that can be easily taken care of by fielding that question to someone at the front desk I would think.
