XM-1 My 78 Bonnie Chopper/Bobber
count me in...
This is the short version..
I've built her from the frame up (twice) and have done quite a few frame mods along the way. I hand fabricated almost all the parts myself (except for the tank and seat) however the tank i worked with the manufacture and did all the dimensions for them and i fiberglassed the seat pan and worked closely with the skilled artists at Danny Grey to come up with the final design.
I don't know whats more fun, seeing the look on other bikers faces as they know the bike wasn't built out of a catalog or when people realize its a Triumph not a HD and all the stories start rolling about every Triumph story from their past.

I'm entering again, see if I do better this time:
This is my 2007 Bonnie Black.
It now has just shy of 15000 miles on it, and I like riding it all over the place.
The facts:
Name: Bonnie
Year: 2007
Model: Bonneville Black
Eng size: 865 air cooled normally aspirated parallel twin.
Pipes: British Customs Predators
Seat: Corbin GF&L. Good for a full day of riding, no problem at all.
Wheels: The stockers. I like spokes.
Accessories: Simple stuff - Tach, knee pads, centerstand, fork gaiters. If a T100 had it, I added it. City bags for carting a bit of standard guff (waterproofs, maps, camera etc). Performance wise I added Ikon springs in the front forks - much better than stock, and Ohlins on the back to really help the ride quality. UJ tank cover for a little Austin Powers effect, and a chrome front mudguard and cam cover plus harmonica tank badge to give an extra air of "classic". Airbox removed and replaced with K and N pod filters with silicone "outerwears" pre filters, airbox replaced with British Cutoms airbox removal kit, with added custom toolbox and mud flappage.
Read all about that here:
http://www.triumphrat.net/twins-tech...x-removal.html
Current set up with stock CVK 36 carbs is 148 main jets, 42 pilots, mixture screw 1.25 turns out, dynojet needle and springs, with clip on position 5 from the top on the needle.
Runs like a scalded dog!
Also, I make my last payment on the bike this month, so this set of pictures represent the bike at the time I actually own it. Paid off 3 years ahead of schedule - pretty happy about that!

Well I'm realistic and know it ain't gonna win because some of the previous bikes for BOTM have been way up there..so big respect to all of them & looking forward to seeing some more.
I thought I'd join in though just to add a bit of eye candy and fight the T3 corner, we are a loyal bunch..small in numbers but big of heart.
It's a '95 Speed Triple 900 (as if you need telling !) in fry your eyes ORANGE, I've had it for the last 6 1/2 years it had 20K on when I got it and now has over 48K and going strong. Over they years I've tried to make it a kinda rolling restoration but may have got a bit carried away !!
Powder coated:
Engine cases, Clock mount & covers, exhaust hangers, alternator cover, coolant pipe, indicator mounts, wheels + polished rims, rear brake caliper.
Carbon:
Rear hugger (painted by me), clock bottoms, idiot light surround, L/H coolant hose cover, tax disk holder, Twin Scorpion cans.
Brakes:
Alcon 6 pots up front on twin braided lines, wavy disks all round, rear on braided lines too.
Suspension:
Ktec reworked forks including revalve, spring and replacement compression adjusters revised oil & air gap, forks dropped 10mm, Ohlins rear shock with remote preload and compression.
Engine:
Stock 885cc apart from running an alloy Renthal 45tooth rear sprocket (up 2), Open pipes, Keihin CVK carbs on K&N pods Thruxton needles, re jetted Pilot air screws tweeked etc etc,
Other bits:
Recovered seat and bum pad, Sprint steering damper, Pro Italia billet fork brace, LED tail/stop lights, Oberon bar end mirros & LED billet indicators, Renthal grips, upgraded side stand from later Trophy, Stainless everywhere
.....blah blah blah (I need to stop before you all nod off !)
Anyroad pics
And there you have it...well there is more at mottleybiker.com if you click below...but you've probably had a gut full already ;-)
Looking forward to seeing all that other lovely metal...so eeerrrrr when is the calender being printed then..????
Cheers
Mot

X-Ton
I know I'm up against stiff competition, but I thought I'd throw my hat in the ring just for kicks. VOTE FOR X-TON!
Year: 2004
Model: Thruxton
Eng size: 865
Pipes: Triumph TORS
Seat: Stock Thruxton
Wheels: Stock Thruxton
Accessories: Listed Below
And the story:
I bought this bike in January after a LONG wait to get a Triumph. I've been putting work into it ever since. I started out with a fender eliminator and then replaced the stock bars and triple clamp with an LSL unit with custom cut drag bars. I had to put CRG style bare end mirrors on to match the low profile look of the bike. I replaced the stock brake reservoir with a Rizoma and the stock levers with Pazzo racing levers. (Standard length clutch, shorty brake.) Other accessories include a clutch lifter dress up kit, Formotion clock and thermometer, Tax ID holder, fork gaitors and red led tach and speedo backlights. Any steering wobble was eliminated when I put on a steering damper, and suspension was greatly improved with the addition of Works Performance fork springs and IKON rear shocks. Performance is improved with a custom airbox elimination and K&N pod filters. The exhaust is TORS, but I'm looking to replace that with a Specialty Spares TT set. Just for future referance, the bonneville in the last picture belongs to 8Spades, and I will hopefully get him to post his for the competition soon.

I'd like to nominate my 07 Speed Triple if I may.
Year; 2007
Model; Speed Triple
Engine Size; 1050cc
Pipe; Arrow 3-1
Seat; Standard
Wheels; Standard (painted at factory)
Accessories; Nissin radial master cylinder, Pazzo levers, Renthal Fatbars, Flyscreen, bellypan, carbon tankshield, carbon hugger and chainguard, carbon heel plates. O8 model hose cover, pro-bolt parts, footpegs and bolts, Renthal sprockets, homemade tailtidy, homemade carbon dash, lower chainguard and exhaust hanger. Still to go on, R6 radial calipers with blue spot inserts from R1, homemade undertray still under construction.
Story; I bought the bike last year off of a guy who works at the Hinckley factory. (He did design work on the 675 engine). The wheels had already been painted at the factory and the exhaust fitted. Everything else I've done myself though it's an ongoing project. I'm making more carbon parts and hopefully by next year I'll have some carbon wheels and Ohlins suspension. Watch this space.

hi, so after mot's entry, i thought i would also up the game on the t3 front!
here is my 93 daytona 750, 1 of only aprox 300 made,(half in black, half in red, again, aprox, lol)
it was owned from new by my father, who kept it very nicely indeed, although when he sold it to me there were plenty of things that were starting to go wrong, and needed replacing.
the only upgrades she has so far are laser race cans, that sound like they would make the devil himself cower in fright, a daytona 900 screen, which is lower, and has a darkened band which hides the back of the clocks, and i swapped the 18 inche rear 6 spoked wheel for the slightly newer 17 inch 3 spoked wheel, with 3 spoked wheel up front to match.
i love this old girl, and she is going through a full restoration over the next year, during which she will get a full original respray, powder coated frame, wheels and various bracketry, so once all is done, she will look brand new again.
in the engine department, im going for the 900cc crank upgrade, combined with my high comp 750 pistons, and the 2k rpm higher redline than the 900 will give me a bit of a boost!
so, enough of my ramblings, here are some pics of the leading lady!
