where were the flat black '07 scramblers made?

I'm going to be in the market for an '06 Scrambler because I like the nostalgic look of the silver motor and the fact that the bike was made in England. The
'07 flat black model was the only '07 with the silver motor but I'm not sure if it was made in England or Taiwan.

Anyone have one and can tell me the facts? Also, does it have screw on emblems ?

Good luck. Many of the 07s were built in 06 (mine was) and may have been built in England. its the subject of a huge debate in another thread. If the 11th digit of the VIN is "J", then it may have been assembled in England. Also, under the VIN sticker, is a small sticker that says "F2" or something similar. that may indicate it was made at "Factory #2" or it may indicate that the frame was made there. Hard to say.

Yes, the 07s and 06s have screw on emblems.

Question Thailand

Dont think the silver motor has much to do w/ it? I think the VIN tells all? Buds got an 07 made in Thailand w/ 8g's on the clock. The only difference I see is the plastic fender ( ft) which I see as a plus?? Oh yeah - the 865 motor. Made in England MIGHT be a collectable issue in the future, but I dont see much difference rite now?

Probably in a Triumph factory!

It's not a big deal when you're riding!

I hunted down an '06 so I could get a brushed aluminim engine long before I saw the endless Thailand posts but i'll admit that i'm a bit stoked that I've confirmed the VIN and have got one of the last run with the really cool silver engine that was "Made in Great Britain".

My dad had a Triumph back in the day. When I showed him my '07 Tiger he was pretty impressed. He asked if they were still made in England. When I said yes, he said, "that's too bad."

I can't say about England, but I can assure you, your Triumph was not made in Taiwan.
