What did you see that made you smile?!

What are some things that you've seen on your way to work or on your journey's that made you smile:

A couple of weeks ago I was riding home and I came to a stop light. To my left was a woman wearing a long light green dress on a cruiser made by Honda, I couldn't help to wonder how that dress was not flying up in her face as she rode along. The light turned green and off we went, I then noticed the she had tucked her dress between her legs and the seat.

Last week I was passed going to work by a long grey haired older woman wearing a yellow tank top, yellow shorts on a yellow Harley, and that look of being free on her face.

I just had to smile and wonder if that will be me in the future.

Every time I go to the back yard and the garage, the little two-year old cutie next door says "Hi Marty! Hi Marty! Marty bike." As her father says, when was the last time you got that much attention from a gorgeous younger woman?

OK back in the 70s Me and a buddy were heading back from a loop thru Canada and the West Coast. My buddy ran out of gas on I70 heading to Green River because he had to double back to get some pants that fell out of his backpack. When he came back he was laughing his a$$ off. A bag of marshmallows had also fallen out and a semi or two had run over them leaving a bunch of white polka dots on the road.

Just then we see a Harley bagger in the distance. We actually hear music before we hear the bike's exhaust. It's BoDiddley. The Harley has more lights on it than a Times Square Billboard. The guy drives by, BoDiddley blaring and the Hog is doing about 35....40 tops. We started to grin then laugh our heads off. A highlight of the trip. That Brother was enjoying his ride to the fullest. We were enjoying our trip to the max too. It was one of those life moments that you remember fondly and it still puts a smile on my face.

had to smile

Starting to work this morning..... passed by 3 small boys with their mom a few houses up the street. The oldest boy (3 or 4 years old) started running on the sidewalk as I rode by. I could tell he was "racing" so I revved the motor a little, but slowed down so he could beat me to his house. Exchanged waves with his mom, and rode on....

My good riding buddy, Tom, and I were returning to Cleveland on the back roads from New Philadelphia, Ohio on Tuesday. As we rounded a turn, there in the middle of the road was this big black and white cow. She was ambling along, first in one lane, then in the other of the two lane road. Obviously we slowed down. I beeped the horn, and she sped up a bit. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed that her sisters, who were still inside the fence, were trotting along excitedly, trying to catch up with her.

I cautiously rode around her, and as I passed, I looked in my rear view mirror, and saw this big animal jump the barbed wire fence back into the pasture to rejoin her mates.

I truly believe this old gal understood that she was having the adventure of her lifetime. Ahhhh, the taste of freedom. She got it!

All the folks in thier cars going to work with that miserable look on thier faces. If they only rode a bike they wouldn't mind the trip in so much.

Leaving my apartment the other day, I spotted an elderly gentleman riding his scooter. He is wearing a 3/4 open face helmet with the over-the-glasses sunglasses, one of those vented golf shirts, shorts and loafers with knee socks. I shouldnt laugh though, Ill be old some day too. He's probably laughing all the way to the bank with the gas money he is saving.

haha!!

i was riding home two days ago and came to a stoplight on a pretty major road. as i pulled up, i noticed the van next to me had a seal that said "Department of Corrections" printed on the side. The van had a couple inmates in the back, but up front were two guards -- both middle aged women who were giggling and pointing at my bike. i waved at them, and the guard in the passenger side blew me a huge kiss!! and they both were just laughing as i pulled away.

it was nice to accidentally provide so much joy to a couple prison guards. go figure!

I was heading to the gym and at the same time there was a CBR, a Hayabusa, and I (my Bonnie) parking. We were parking right in front of the door. People were noticing us and watching us park. As I was parking and taking off my gear, a kid came up to me...and TOTALLY ignoring the other flashy ones...and says with the biggest grin "I REALLY like your bike."

Normally I do get the conversations and comments from older guys, but it made me smile because its the first time I got a compliment from a young kid, especially for my Bonnie and ignoring the other 2. And...it reminds me of my younger me when I my uncle rolled up to my house on a Nighthawk
