Moderation or Censorship ?

Cannot seem to post a reply to the "How do you deal with tailgaters" thread.

Either I am experiencing technical difficulties of I am being prevented form replying to what I think is insulting and historically incorrect rubbish which is reasonably common here.

I am happy to abide a policy of no politics, but it seems one sided - guess which side ?

If I am not allowed a reply, I ask that all threads involving politics, Religion and national history are removed, as they contravene the acceptable use policy. I also ask that the US members remember that this is an international forum.
  • Posting of off-topic content. Only motorcycle-related content is allowed.
  • Discrimination towards others, regardless of the topic or subject. We do not judge others here.
  • Negative Political Bias - Posts that advertise, promote, condone the views of others, or encourage inflammatory responses are not encouraged.
I wonder if this will get posted ?

Cheers

I also have experienced some problems replying to posts, however; it sounds as if you may also have your head in rectal defilade.

I saw the posts you made pfm, because they came through email since I had subscribed to that thread.

I think you are right - in this case the censorship was one sided. As usual, it is totally acceptable to bash Britain, apparently, despite how many of our folks died in those bloody conflicts, and how it was our folks that stemmed the tide while the world stood by.

Nevertheless, I felt your replies were a little strong.

I would simply ask that everyone be a little more respectful of everyone elses nation, especially around sensitive subjects like the world wars.

All any of us want to do is ride our bikes and have a laugh isn't it? Let's not degrade our forum with talk of who rescued who in what war.

I will no doubt be chastised here. I don't care. I am proud to be British, and remember British achievements, I am similarly proud to live in America - it is a great nation.

None of us are fault free. Let's leave it that and ride bikes until there are no more roads.

And when there are no more roads, drink until there is no more tomorrow.

I read your replies and agreed with them too - being a proud Brit living in Canada, my adopted nation.

However, Sweat was right to delete them, in order to "moderate" the tone of the thread, which was degenerating.

Sometimes we get off topic. Most times we talk about our bikes.

Perhaps it's time for an oil thread?

Over in the sprint forum there can be wars over what tires to use!

haggis nailed it. I deleted your post PFM, twice, because it was off topic to the thread. The subject was tailgating, in case you forgot.

I deleted some other posts too, not just yours. Don't take it personally.

Yeah, I was a little strong, but this has been coming for a while and I had a gutfull.
Forgot the emails - I don't use them. Apologies for the double up.

Never used the "Report" button before, not wanting to be a tattletale.

I'll see how that goes next time.

...not the one I objected and replied to.
How is that on topic ?
