Well Dryheat, you are officially a member of the Scrambler dropping club. You can read about my Scrambler dropping fiasco by clicking
here.
You can console yourself with the knowledge that you did two things absolutely correctly when dropping your Scram, and, without even being instructed to do so.Congratulations!
First, and most important, you dropped it on the left side, the non-pipe side. This saved your beautiful Scrambler pipes from being damaged.
Second, before your bike had a chance to hit the ground, you threw your body underneath it,to cushion it's fall, thus minimizing damage to the machine. This is a maneuver that takes lightning reflexes, and split second timing.Good job! I was too slow to get underneath mine, and look how badly it got scratched up.
After all, yours came away basically unscathed.A shifter peg is easily fixed with a bolt and a chunk of fuel line, and clutch levers are for sissies anyway.
All kidding aside,I'm glad nothing is hurt but your pride. And I'm amazed your dealer actually had that shift peg in stock. If you read my posts on that above link, you'll see my frustration in trying to find a clutch lever.I was really in a hurry for it,because I had taken the following week off from work, just to do some riding.
I ended up spending a small fortune on Pazzo levers, mostly because they could get them to me in three days. The best anyone else would guarantee me was 7. I really like the Pazzos, but I tell you,if I break one,I'm going to cry like a little girl.

Cheers!
Bruce
