any replacement horn should work as long as it's 12v, it's just a matter of bolting it on the bike somehow.

Which do you think would work best: a. superglue b. duct tape c. wire d. velcro.

Was thinking velcro for the turbaned lady.

Stuck a 6v bugle horn on a 12v Harley, you just had to "tune" it.

Fr. Joe,

Would like some details... like what's the overall diameter? the decibel level? where did you find it?

Can you give us a link to the manufacturer's website? As a fellow red/black rider I too am now interested.

Hella Horns
Hella Horns. Loud As Can Be!
Tired of those wimpy, factory installed horns? You'll get some respect with these. I only honk my horn when it's absolutely necessary. For those times I do honk my horn, I want to be noticed. And just in case you haven't noticed, stereo systems are getting louder and interiors are getting quieter, which means you need to be heard! Plastic? No way! Durable, metal casing for years of survival. Easy installation. If you have horns presently, just swap the horns and use the existing wiring. If you want to add them to your present horns, a relay and directions are included. Loud as can be! 118 dB.

I would look for something louder than 118 dB, I think the factory horn is close to that. Look for 125 or better.

I agree. The stock horn is a wimpy 105 dB (what it's marked).

Personally I was hoping it was 134 dB or better, since I'm currently using a Fiamm RoadThunder horn that's 134 dB. It's a direct replacement, but kinda bulky at 1" larger in diameter than the stock horn.

The NewBonneville replacement horn is 125db, somewhat louder than the stock horn and fits under the tank where the AI valve was if you use the right bracket or bend an offset into it. I was able to get it in there with the horn facing forward. The wires will reach it there, so it's an easy mod, and cleans up the front of the bike. Also no worries about the fender smacking into it.
