I saw this helmet in a recent motorcycle classics and knew this is what I've been looking for. Before seeing the Nolan N30, I wanted a Davida Classic Jet but they're too expensive for me right now and I want to wear a helmet that I like wearing--I figure I might actually wear it that way. Mine are in transit. I got a grey one for me and a pink one for my wife. I'm kinda wondering about the big sticker on the forehead area--might be too much.

Retro Helmets
The current issue of MOTORCYCLE CLASSICS (May/June 2008) has a nice article called 6 Retro Helmets. It includes a nice looking retro helmet by Z1R for only $69.95 list price! Sorry, but I'm not computer literate enough to post any photos or links. Best of luck in your search........Art

You could try the Arai Classic open face.. got mine on Ebay brand new in box for under $100... maybe because its gold, but frankly I don't care - its a Great helmet and comfortable.

Classic open face helmet
Davida Classic Jet! Nanni goggles. Neither are cheap but they are classic....
I also have a well worn Nolan 41-42? and use an AGV Dragon sometimes but the Davida is my favorite.

Good luck,

I like the looks of that Nolan, but I'd really like to see it on someone's melon before I buy. Anyone? Anyone?

my favorite open face story.
Francois used to work at the lodge on 129, four guys come in and one is looking at a full face, ( he is on vacation on the dragon, and thought the non dot open face, might get him a ticket). put on a full face and played the whole panic attack thing, oh I would just suffocate in this yadda yadda yadda (tough harley guy you know)

anyway he and his buddies go to pull out onto 129 and two of them make it number three stops suddenly so as to not get waxed by a car, and our hero who was looking at the full face, panics and bounces his face off the triple clamp trying to avoid his buddy that suddenly stopped short.

now the good part, he comes in the lodge with most of his teeth in is hands and is trying to tell Francois he needs a doctor/ hospital/ambulance or whatever, the lad holding his teeth got a little indignant when he was told what he needed was a full face.

off topic but I love that story, but after my recent head on I was looking at the pavement when I opened my eyes. my head hit flat, face first, all the head damage was a bit lip.
