Hi Bonnie owners...

I have just purchased a 2008 Bonneville Black and am panicking that it may be too small for me after reading some reviews on-line.

I am 6’3.75” tall of slim/regular build. Will I look like a circus bear, or do other tall riders comfortably ride (and look cool on ) a Bonneville?

I'm 6'2 and had a 2001 Bonne which I enjoyed but the seat to peg ratio was 18" and my legs got cramped after 30 min or so. I bought a Scrambler, and the seat to peg ratio was about 21.5" and is obviously much more comfortable. Measure yours and see what it is. The Scrambler is more fun to ride if you're tall as the bars are wider, has higher seat height and can be ridden off road.

I think you will be okay for local riding. I am 6'-3 have no problems except that after about an hour I have to get off for a few minutes due to hard seat and needing a stretch. But for what i do, local riding, its comfortable. I rode my friends sport bike and it was horrible. Rode a dyna and the leg room was just a little better. I did see myself reflected in the windows of a big building and i think I look ok riding my bike. When i stand next to it it looks small. i would not choose this bike if I wanted to cruise long distances.

Of course, I am much cooler on my MERIDEN Triumph

I'm six foot two and I test rode a couple before I bought my speedmater. I thought they were comfratable.

I'm 6' 1" and go some 250 pounds (allegedly ) but don't think the bike is too small for me. Mind you I have a few mods on it, K&Q seat - soooo comfortable, and it lifts you up that little bit. Also fitted a Givi front screen and some handle bar risers to give me a slightly more upright riding position.

You're not too tall for it. I'm 6'3", and it fits me fine. I did put a set of bar risers on it, although the riding position was not at all bad before, it's just exceptionally good now.

I am 6'5" and I ride a Bonneville. A Tiger is a more comfortable fit, but I wanted the traditional Modern Classic. I'm getting along just fine with the Bonnie.

How could anyone NOT look cool on a Bonneville???

There's a local guy here that's something like 6'7" or 6'8" and looks like he weighs about 170 lbs. I never really notice how tall he is ON the bike ... and he rides his Bonnie quite often.

on a side note, same guy has a new KTM 950R (a monster of a big-Azz dirtbike) and he says with it's 38" seat height, he can stand flat-foot at redlights. cRaZy!
