Scrambler folks - tire vibration at 32mph?

I have almost 2,000 miles on my Scrambler and I'm noticing a really strong buzz vibration, particularly through the bars and front end at roughly 30mph. I don't remember it doing this when brand new and I'm almost positive it's the block tires after they start to wear a little. Can anybody else confirm this? Funny the front tire doesn't even look worn but the back is definitely wearing on the center of the tread. Maybe the rear wear transfers a vibration to the whole bike but I feel it most distinctly through my hands. It makes the Deflector windshield buzz.

It sounds like your back tire is "cupping". This is common on some tires and/or tire brands. I've seen it on alot of BMWs. Does it seam to be even worse when on an angle/turning?

I had a BMW K1200LT that had a tremendous tire cupping problem. I had to replace the front tire after only 6,000 miles. The second tire only lasted 5,500. Many Beemer owners have had this problem.

Keeping a VERY close eye on tire pressure will help. But if its cupping, replacement is the only option.

Exclamation Knobbys

Get rid of them!!! Maybe you can get a few bucks for them before they are worthless?
Good for someone doing strait OFF Road! Get a set of the Dunlops or Metzlers 90/10's.
Bud has had them x2 sets & loves them!! Great on the road & decent off! I think its tourance & 607's? They look good & do the trick. The knobbys are useless on the road!

blocking

I had something similar on my suzuki, mine was down to braking hard which distorts the tyre and and tears the trailing edge, my bike failed an mot with this as they looked like shark teeth - all tapered. The tyre did however still have plenty of tread - it was just an odd shape!
