North Carolina Insurance

Got a rather nice surprise in the mail yesterday. Got the renewal on the policy for the Bonnie (Progressive) and it'd dropped nearly $200 from last year. Full coverage for the Bonnie for $360 a year now. I dont know whats changed in NC but it was'nt too long ago I was getting quotes of $800-$900 per year.

I'm glad you got the nice decrease... always a good thing!

I use ANPAC for my homeowners and motorcycle... They did an excellent job of handling my claim from my wreck.

When I bought my "new" Bonnie, I thought for sure the rates would go through the roof...

SC is reputed to have some of the highest rates going...

$276 a year total for the '03 Bonnie with the sidehack added on an accessory rider... I put total value of the rig at $10k and I have high liability values... I don't believe in "state minimums"...

When my agent gave me the quote, I thought it was a 6 month rate... He assured me it was the annual fee. I was blown away, to say the least... Especially since they had just paid off my bike and the pickup I totaled and I had picked up a couple of tickets while driving the cage in the past year and a half!

I highly recommend them and my agent... Good folks to deal with.

Getting a discount is a good thing

I just added my 07 Scrambler to my Progressive policy in SC. It's a multi-bike policy and the Scrambler adds an additional $120 per year. Liability on my old KLR was $75 per year, so I feel like I'm getting a good deal.

I'm in Raleigh.

Geico quoted me $100 less per year for the same coverage as Progressive on my Bonnie.

But your rate sounds even lower than what I'm paying with Geico. Mid thirties, homeowner, married with kids, clean driving record, only licensed rider in the household, MSF certificate, etc.

Maybe because the bike is my primary transportation and I ride it daily?
