Air Bag Jacket???
Have you guys heard of this- I just saw it on another forum - it's called the Impact jacket. Apparently some guy just wrecked hit the ground at 100+ mph and survived with some bruised ribs!!!!! Insane...here's the link to the news report.

from the article: "impact rate of 140 mph."

unless the ground was moving, this tells me he was going AT LEAST that fast? I wonder if he got a speeding ticket; the article doesn't mention it.

I was thinking the same thing...also, I wonder if the impact jacket is going to lead to an increase of bad craziness on the roads (logic being: "I can now safely squid at 140mph without the threat of death, so I shall")

TBD

Nonetheless I wouldn't mind having one on at 50mph either. Has anyone ever seen one of these?

Great idea...I would like to see more independent testing. Lets be careful...though I support helmet use....but I support the right to choose...if this actually works...I see new regulations........

imagine wearing this thing and getting off the bike in front of some smokin hot chicks at the local watering hole. You swing your leg off the bike, take about 3 steps and think..."feels like I forgot to do somethi...." *POOF* you're instantly transformed into the Michelin Man.
