Great shots G. Twin! The chrome covers look really snazzy!

OK, here we go, I'll see if this works: this was at Milford Sound, far Southwest of NZ in January
this was the day I bought her home last October, with my Bonnie in the background:

Dr Pat,
I don't care if I have to be in a plane for a day to do it, I'm so going there. Scotland's my home and I love it, but that Milford sound, what a place to sit and eat your pieces.
Clysdale,
This is your fault, I was happy enough with my tank till I saw yours. One turned up on ebay uk and I had to have it:
If anyone (uk please) needs a tank they can have my old one for a small fee. The tank pad conceals a wee dent so I just left it on. I took the knee pads for my new tank because they cost £40 the pair!
ps. why are the pages on this thread 100yards wide :???:

Hey John, that black tank looks great (as does Clysdale's!!), nice one!
Anytime you can get over mate, we'll look after you and you can ride the Bonny (or Scrambler if you prefer) down to Te Anau and Milford. I should mention that this place gets some astronomical amount of rain - maybe 300 inches I think, so that shot was unusual, as they'd had 6 dry days in a row. Still, wet or dry, it's a great ride
cheers mate, Pat

This is a Scrambler that my brother photographed in St. Tropez in France last year. It's Swiss registered - no idea who it belongs to, but I liked the stripped-down look. He couldn't get a better shot because there were bikes parked on both sides.

DrPat...that first picture...that's not your "back yard"? That's at a park or a public place right....please tell me that is not your view from your house....if so...I beg you to let me come out and test drive your Scrambler...the ones here in the US are so boring!!!

Hi Revolt, no, that's on the west side of the South Island, about 440km (260 miles) from my place - I'm on the east side of the island (and have some pretty nice sea views from my front yard, come to that). The scenery in NZ is kindof ridiculous - sometimes distracts you from your riding - and of course, only 4mill people here (half a mill of whom are in Oz), so its quiet too.
Any time you get an opportunity to come to this side of the planet though - let me know! I'll certainly look after you mate and send you down to Milford on one of my bikes, with pleasure!. This forum and the friends I've talked to have been real good to me, and I'll pay the favours forward any chance that I get! - cheers mate, Pat
