(Without starting a debate on full face vs. 3/4 helmets)

I was considering purchasing a Davida helmet. Does anyone know where you can find the best prices? There are no local dealers where I live so shipping will be a necessary expense.

I've had mine on order since July with Surfside Power Sports in Florida. I ordered the Classic Jet in matte black with a gloss black stripe down the middle. It was a custom color, and unfortunately, Davida didn't make it to my order before they retooled their plant this fall. I'm still waiting for it. I don't blame the dealer, really nice guys, but they have had my $300+ since July with me still without a helmet.

As for Glory, I bought some goggle lenses from them and they shipped the wrong lenses. They were good and quick about making it right, though.

www.britishcycles.com in Lakeland, Florida is the best dealer for Davida helmets and other accessories that I know of-they are top notch! Give them a shout. They were very responsive to me. EMAIL]www.britishcycles.com[/email]

I would be aware of certain helmet sizing problems in the Davida line. Most of their Jet type helmets will not fit over your face and ears unless you have a very thin face/jaw ,although they will fit the circumference of your head. Very uncomfortable in most cases and I could not even wear mine -it was too tight on my face and ears/jaw. They apparently do not use the standard North American Headform that all other helmet manufactures in the world seem to be using and thusly their helmets are about 3/4" too narrow at the bottom opening and sides. Too ***** tight. I have written them about this and even returned one helmet but they refuse to even answer me. The dealer on the other hand is great! See if they will let you get one to try on approval. They chgarged me 15% restocking because mine was a custom job. No complaints there. All Limeys must be skinheads or all Rebels must be fatheads?? Either way be AWARE>

i have a davida speedster. i love it. i got it from glory and they were very nice an honest with me. i called and they told me they had my size and to put the order in online.since iwas at work and i drive for a living. so i got the confirmation of the order but no other word. waited a couple days and called and justin. he told me a shop called and took all the MD speedsters. my fault since i didnt put the order in till 10 pm. all was made good in two weks when davida shipped him some stock that was returned from finland or something. all the time being very apolegetic and cool. glory seems pretty good. i'd shop with'em again. maybe a racing sweater this fall.

Sizing is indeed strange with Davida. A friend has a 3/4 helmet sz. large which fits me fine. Very comfortable. He also has 1/2 helmet, large which was much larger and required additional foam padding. I would try and find one to try on just in case. Differen't models seem to size different. I will get one someday because it felt very nice and light.

If you go onto the Davida web site at the bottom of page one there is a chart giving you the size range and how to measure your head to get the right size in the Davida range.
HiVel, I don't think all Limeys have skinheads, it must be you have an extra large noggin L.O.L.

Davida is nice for retro look, I guess. I just got this Bell helmet and some Scott Goggles and love it.

Can't beat the price, either. $59.00 And it has the same lack of certification the Davida has.
