euro_rider (Dustin) has agreed to lead a ride in the Hocking Hills area on September 16. No rain date.

Here's what he posted on the Rides and Events Forum:

....................Open to all in what could be one last group ride for us here in Ohio and surrounding area. The weather is starting to turn already. I'm planning a route in the Hocking Hills area. Starting place will be Lancaster Ohio with a short jog down 33 into Logan Ohio in case some of the WV or KY people want to join up with the group. No need for them to back track. From there site seeing and touring South Central Ohio. Stops about every 30/45 miles for some photo ops! Restrooms so on.

This is not going to be a fast paced ride. I want everyone that comes to enjoy themselves, but I also don’t want anyone feel rushed or stressed….

Along the way if people want to open it up and go ahead there will be a lot of opportunity for that. Don't let the fact that I said this is not going to be a fast paced ride stop you from coming. So if speed is your thing come along and play…

I don't have a rain date planned because I can't do a rain date. I'm moving my parents as of right now, and as soon as I get them moved I have to pack up and move my-self before the end of the month. So a rain date is not going to be possible. I guess you can say it's a one shot deal.

So I guess I'll ask who's in?........................

Go to the Rides and Events Forum to sign up. This will likely be the last Ohio Packless Rides of the season, so I hope to see as many of you all there as possible. Invite your friends, and it matters not what you ride.

The Packless RATs ride again....I'm sure going to try to do it.....Got a football game to do Fri...I'll ask Dustin...er...euro-rider...about nearby hotels...might have to come down late fri nite

Jay, Sue and I will be going down Friday evening. Here is a link to the local visitor's bureau that lists all the motels in the county.

NOTE: some of the motels listed are in Pickerington which isn't that close for someone coming from the NE of Ohio. You have to go twenty miles further west than you should go and then come back the twenty miles to Lancaster for the start.

We are not getting a "summer" response to this one, which is understandable, and its further away from most of the regular riders. But this is likely the last chance for a Packless Rats group ride of the season. So try to figure out a way to make it work for you.

The Lancaster Inn, (740-653-3040) according to the local smokies, is clean, reasonably priced and safe for those who want to ride down Friday evening. Sue and I plan to ride down and stay there Friday evening.

Come on, guys, find a way and sign up over at Rides and Events.
